This site is operated by Step Into Media Inc, 15 W 38th St, New York, NY 10018 ("we", "us"). By using this site or buying anything on it, you agree to these terms.
What we sell
We publish written guidance about household preparedness for power outages, and we sell digital products on the same subject. Everything we sell is delivered digitally. There is nothing physical to ship and nothing to return.
Your license to use what you buy
When you buy one of our products you get a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own household. You may print it for your own use. You may not resell it, republish it, share it publicly, or use it to create a competing product.
Everything on this site, including the text, the diagrams and the design, belongs to us or to the people we licensed it from.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to this site, and do not scrape or republish its content without permission.
Information, not advice
Our content is general information for preparedness planning. It is not medical, safety, legal or professional advice, and it does not replace instructions from your utility, your doctor, your equipment manufacturers or the emergency services. In an emergency, follow the instructions of local officials. See our Results and Preparedness Disclaimer for more.
Sources
We cite published information from named institutions, including federal agencies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any of them. Third-party guidance can change after we publish; we review our pages but we cannot guarantee that every external source is current at the moment you read it.
No guarantee of outcome
We stand behind our products with the refund policy below. We do not, and cannot, guarantee any outcome, result, or level of safety. What happens in any given emergency depends on circumstances outside our control.
Refunds
See our Refund Policy. In short: 60 days, no argument.
Availability
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to this site or anything bought on it is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here, with the date at the top.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of the State of New York.
